Dear CMAE Family,
On the third Monday of January every year, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. MLK Day is not just a holiday - it's a call to action. It's a day that challenges each of us to reflect on what we can do to effect change and build a better world for the next generation. "I have A Dream," reminds us that the fight for equity doesn't end, it simply evolves.
We are proud to lead an organization full of advocates who are doing their part to uproot inequities in our educational system. While there are many things that need to be done to ensure everyone has the opportunity to live a happy, fulfilling life, this is the part we as educators can play in building a better society that works for everyone.
Thank you for engaging in this critical work with us. Please enjoy the weekend and please stay safe.
Regards,
Lawrence B. Brinson, President
Margueritta Brown, Vice President
Lakisha Mills, Secretary
Brenda Iyonmahan., Treasurer
Shalane Robinson, Parliamentarian
