Dear Members,
As we continue to go through this unprecedented time in our lives with the covid-19 virus, I just want to take a minute to extend best wishes to everyone for a joyous and safe Memorial Day. Many educators and family members of educators have served in the Armed Forces. Memorial Day means different things to all of us, it is the official start of the summer, a day off, backyard cookouts, but more importantly, it is an opportunity to remember our men and women in the military – our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen who continue to serve around the world.
Our thoughts and prayers are especially with our wounded warriors, their families, and the families of the fallen. These families richly deserve the love and thanks of a grateful nation, and we should never forget their sacrifice. Please take a minute on Memorial Day to remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
On behalf of the CMAE Leadership Team, and myself we want to wish you and your family a safe and happy Memorial Day. Please – Stay well and remember to comply with the CDC and safe distance suggested guidelines, to protect yourself and your loved ones. Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your membership, your voice, and your commitment to education.
Lawrence Brinson
CMAE President and NCAE Region 3 Director
