CMAE President Lawrence Brinson welcomed a team of elected leaders and staff specialists from NCAE and NEA to Charlotte on September 7 to assist in training more than 80 new and returning Association Representatives in the school districts that comprise NCAE's District 3.

The training was hosted by CMAE and NCAE District 3 at Newell Elementary School in Mecklenburg County. As Hurricane Dorian moved off the Carolina coastline, training participants brought canned and non-perishable goods to support hurricane relief efforts.

Any CMAE member who is interested in serving on the Association Representative Team at a CMS school this year, but who couldn't attend the training, is encouraged to contact President Brinson at cmae.brinson@bellsouth.net. More training opportunities in these and other topics will be available throughout the school year.
